West Mifflin Borough has prepared a Pollution Reduction Plan (PRP) as required by the PA DEP that outlines potential activities and projects that reduce pollution caused by sediment and/or nutrients in receiving streams. The PRP is available for public review and comment at the Borough office located at 1020 Lebanon Road, West Mifflin, PA 15122 beginning August 3, 2017 through and including September 4, 2017 weekdays, during regular business hours of 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
The Plan is also available for review beginning August 3, 2017 at the Borough’s website at https://westmifflinborough.com/.
Written comments will be accepted in person or by mail at the Borough office address above no later than close of business on September 5, 2017. Public comment concerning the PRP will also be accepted at a public meeting to be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the Borough office. The proposed adoption of the Plan by the Borough Council will be considered at a public meeting on September 13, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. during the Council’s regularly scheduled Caucus meeting.
