On Friday, April 21, 2023, as part of their Earth Day work. Workers from U.S. Steel Mon Valley Works Irvin Plant, both Management and USW Local 2227, came out to Gary L. Parker Memorial Park, (Terrace Playground). They spent the day cleaning, mulching, removing old playground equipment, and resurfacing the basketball court. They will be back in the near future to finish installing new playground equipment, striping the basketball court, and some other updates.
